Spotlight on Broadway is our 2010 concert and is now in rehearsal.
The concert will be performed at Bradford Grammar School, Keighley Road on Friday 23rd and Saturday 24th April 2010. There will be a sumptuous selection of show tunes in a cabaret evening of song and dance.

Beauty and The Beast – Auditions

Auditions for our 2010 production of Disney’s Beauty and The Beast are to be held on Saturday 6th March.
Further details regarding times and availability of audition pieces will be posted soon.
Auditions are open to society members only; the last opportunity for acceptance as a member, before the auditions, will be at the committee meeting on 1st March 2010. All applications must be received by this date.
Annual Dinner Dance

The Annual dinner is on 27th February 2010, reception at 7:00 pm, at the Midland hotel.
Tickets are on sale now at £28.50 (payable over 5 week as from next week’s rehearsal if you want to spread the cost?) booking forms available at rehearsal or call Helene . Three course dinner + coffee, dancing to a local band and disco till 1:00 am.

42nd Street is here now!

Our latest production, 42nd Street, opens on Tuesday 24th and runs until Saturday 28th November.
The show has been in rehearsal since July and after the months of hard work, we have a show that is worthy of all that effort.
Our new production team of David Kirk, Jacqui Drake-Sweiss and Sylvia Dowgill, have brought their own inimitable style to proceedings and with a very strong cast, superb musicians and a colourful set and costumes, prepare to witness what will be a stunning show. A true return to form for Bradford’s premier amateur theatre group.

Our next production, the fabulous musical extravaganza that is 42nd Street, is on at the Bradford Alhambra from Tuesday 24th to Saturday 28th November 2009.
Tickets prices are:
Tuesday (7:15pm) - £15
Wednesday to Friday (7:15pm) - £17 (but buy 6 and only pay for 5!)
Saturday (1:00pm and 5:00pm) – £15

The Sound of Music

There is an opportunity for members to be involved with the touring production of The Sound of Music. The show is on at the Alhambra during September.
There is a requirement for men to be Nazi soldiers during the concert scene in Act II.
Anyone who is interested should contact Joanne Button during the rehearsal on Thursday 27 Aug.
Disney’s Beauty and The Beast

Our President was recently very pleased to proudly announce that our 2010 production will be Disney’s Beauty and The Beast.
The show has everything – fantastic music, comedy, love and the triumph of good over evil – in other words a superb musical!

Family day out at Bolton Abbey - from 2pm onwards. Bring you family, friends and a picnic. This is a completely informal afternoon and an opportunity to get together. Meet in Bolton Abbey car park near the pavilion (there will be a charge for parking).

Annual Mass – to be held at The First Martyrs’ of Rome, Heights Lane, Heaton at 7pm. There will be mass followed by a shared supper (bring food for yourself and any guests) in the church hall. Our President will be announcing the society’s production for November 2010 during the supper. Fr Dennis Cassidy has been invited to concelebrate mass with Fr Eamon and we will be thanking Dennis for his support of the society over many years.

The new website for The Bradford Catholic Players is now live!
A big thanks to e-titans who have done a great job on the design of the site.
I am going to be responsible for keeping the site upto date and will be adding details over the next few months. The site is going to grow and will hopefully become one of your favourites so that you can be bang upto date with BCP news!
